Woody is an existentialist trying to find meaning and making fun of meaningless.
I wish he would have had a shot of the Twin Towers.

“Not everybody gets corrupted. You have to have a little faith in people". Tracy I love you *o*

She's 17! Expecting Chris Hansen and the Catch a Predator crew to show up.

I love the ending after his response to "have a little faith." The skyline of Manhattan with the Gershwin music going full blast. Thank you Woody!

One of my favorite scenes of all time. Slightly disappointed the ending credits were edited out: the music solidifies the last line of the film. However, I'm thankful this beautiful cinematic moment was uploaded; Woody Allen at his best.

I watch the last 50 seconds and tears well-up.... This has to be in my all time top ten films, actually pretty near the top...

this film has one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, opening and ending scenes ever shot.
With a magnificent film in the middle.
AGREED: Woody Allen's character in this film, and indeed ALL his films, it that of a man in search of something to have faith in. And, in the ending of Manhattan, Mariel Hemingway tells him, in her youthful innocence, to have "a little faith." And his broken, cynical face softens, ever so briefly, with a smile... he wants to believe her... and the film cuts to credits. Leaving us wonder... and hope ... that he did. And that somewhere in the world there really is a happy ending. Of some kind.

Because we can all use a little more faith! And often a child reminds us of that fact. Coupled with the Gershwin score coming in...perfect, poignant ending.
