Some footage from a saturation dive job I did out in Angola in 2008.
- Worksite: shot from on top of a 2000 meter riser tower 80 miles offshore Angola.
- Depth: 70 meters to the work site. 2km to the seabed. Divers: myself, Eddie C. and Dave J. in the bell.. . . where we prefer him;-)
- Workscope: tie in spools. Lots of manta rays and pelagics.
- Vessel: DSV Acergy Eagle

  • From my point of view sat diving is the best form of commercial diving coz I get to spend more time in the water. It's more committed because it is capital intensive and therefore usually safer than most other forms of commercial diving. i.e. a USD300K a day DSV can not afford to have mistakes and accidents over lax safety. .. so they do it right the first time. Much higher levels of professionalism in sat diving. My two cents . .. . . and oh yeah, the money is better ;-)
