The 30 Second Durian Eating Contest

"How not to eat a durian fruit."
A lot of Malaysians are crazy about durian, the infamously stinky king of fruits. We shot this scene from my Fulbright film short "The Tourist" at a durian stand in downtown Kuala Lumpur. The durian stand owner (shown at 0:09 expertly opening a durian) even had business cards, one of which I still have. It's one of my prized possessions. Neither Gavin, Andre, nor Yusman were big durian fans before shooting this, and I doubt that the experience of gorging on durians take after take made any of them acquire the taste.

Durian isn't strange fruit, it just is high sulphur and fructose.

It's very dangerous, if you have to much a lot of durian.

And some people was died when they was try to eat a durian with alcoholic beverage.
