Best 8-bit castlevania. Anyone can play it. Love the level up system.

@grungefreak10 James Rolfe openly states that his reviews are meant to be humorous and not taken seriously. He said that the games aren't as bad as he makes them out to be. It's too bad some take him a bit too seriously.

@gamerdakota only younger kids that didnt grow up with these games listen to avgn, i grew up with all those old games and although simons quest is an alright game there was a few annoying things about that game.

Dude, I like your review a lot. i used to play this game back in the day and it was one of my favorites! I liked the adventure tone better than the original one. i too was upset by the Nerd's review . This and 3 were the best. I tried to play this game again recently and got my ass handed to me. i used to be so good at it! WTF? Keep up the good work!

Y'know this might put me out of favor with a lot of people but I love this one more than 1 and 3. My best friend and I back in the day used to just wander around for hours trying to figure everything out leveling up. This was the only one we could actually play back then. As I got older I mastered the other 2 but this one is the one that everyone I know played the most and had a lot of popularity in my generation.

I don't either. It's an easy game. I like the nerds reviews but he does suck at these kinds of games, if you just concentrate and take your time you won't die. If your D is too weak all you gotta do is go into a dungeon and kill enemies until you level up.

I am a big fan of The Nerd, but I respectfully disagree with his scathing review of Castlevania 2.

I love Simons Quest. I think people would have a lot higher opinion on this game if it hadn't been for the AVGN's review of it.
