He is the most influential songwriter that I have come to know. Thank you for your comment, and let us keep a finger, or two, crossed, for a wonderful next record. @klingchad I don't agree the newer songs are just rehashes. The melodies are still singular and brilliant, this song being a perfect example. This is one of the best songs Stephin's ever written.

I love Stephin Merritt, the Magnetic Fields, Gothic Archies, Irving. I'm in love. However, I think 69 Love Songs was Stephins 9th symphony, so to speak. Distortion, and Realism have thrown me for a loop. I'm just hearing re-hashes of "get lost" "69 love songs" and 100,000 fireflies over and over and over a charm of the highway strip. But I do agree he is one of the greatest , EVER. Thanks Stephin. I would love to do it again.Charles...

It's lovely. I'm glad to see that someone uploaded this song, for sure. But what's with the 2 minutes and 29 seconds of silence? I suppose it's a time to reflect :) Anyhow, much love regardless...
