http://www.static970.com Note: Make sure you take the time to balance and weight your Lensse Steadicam. Every MM of movement shifts its balance point, and different weights will be used to get the balance you need with your specific camera!

I decided to test two steadicams, one that I made with parts from a hardware store. The second is a Lensse Steadicam that I purchased off amazon. Both are great options considering the next step up is 600-700 dollars. I wanted to compare both of them so you could decide for yourself which may be best for you if you are filming on a budget. Later I tested a lot more in depth on the lensse weights, It has improved immensely from the first test shot.

  • first video ive seen that shows the wobble that my lensse does... all other vids make it look awesome/perfect

  • @rob327c you have to add more counter weights to stop the wobble. I had to goto the hardware store and find more. Still a bit of wobble, but it's not near as bad.

  • you know where i can buy more weights

  • @petenicezz For the Lensse, I went to any hardware store or you can get an actual counter weight from b&h or amazon. For the homemade steadicam any sports store or wal-mart will have 2.5 or 5 pound weights.

  • @StaticStudiosPro under what name should i look under on Amazon?

  • @petenicezz "film counter weights". I would try a hardware store first, you'll spend $20 or more just on one film counterweight. If you buy washers from a hardware store you can put on or take off as much as you think you need, rather than buying one counterweight and not being able to adjust the weight.

  • Hold the Melin's handle with bottom three fingers. Take your trigger finger, and use it to control the top part.

  • @blackstarcats 彼は熟練している

  • making the diy out of heavy galvanized pipes, why? at the hardware store you can get strips of aluminnun and shape then to look just like the leensee and washers for counter weight, plenty of videos out there on how to create your own, i actualy thought the Diy stedycam video looked better that the store bought one...
