http://magnatune.com/artists/pbo From a London house concert by musicians from Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. Gonzalo Ruis (Oboe), Phoebe Carrai (Cello), Hanneke van Proosdij (Harpsichord), Stephen Schultz (Baroque Flute)
Is any one going to see PBO play Beethoven's 'The Emperor' (Piano Contero No. 5) in Berkely on Sunday? They will also be playinf Shubert: Symphony no. 3 and Reicha: Overture in D
Telemann. Good trio. G.P. knew what he was doing. Dminor's not so hot for a traverso when it has to play with an hautboy 'cept this trio works. Just one question; who's the swaying hautboyist?
It seems to me the oboe is a very underrated instrument, despite being often used to great effect in Baroque music.
