But new Marlin 60 is SHORT barrel !!! only 19" vs Marlin 60SB I buy 5 years ago!! I hate Ruget because the barrel only 18".....NOW MARLIN tried to cut short!! If shorter than 20 inches I will buy European gun! CZ maybe!

My Simmons 3-9x32 22 Mag scope is a good match for the Marlin model 60. As to working on a "regular 22", you will probably just have to buy it and see if it works for you. You might run into issues with having a different size rail that the rings won't fit. Check the return policy before you buy, however.

@leoffensive The scope is a Simmons 3-9x32 22 Mag, bought at Dicks sporting goods. I have been happy with it so far. It seems to be a good match.
