@D3VOproductions They showed that part of the play too. It's really clear he catches the ball. There SHOULD be footage of it online; particularly because I looked over that entire game a few times. I was actually amazed Jacob Younger managed to shovel that like he did in that weird of a position.

Great play. They reviewed the play and he got the first down.

They reviewed the wrong part of that play. Instead of reviewing if he got the first down, they should have reviewed if he even made the catch. I was sitting behind FIU's endzone and even I could tell it hit the ground. FIU got lucky

In current culture, the play is referred to as the "hook and ladder" on the cover of EA Sports NCAA Football 2008, possibly because the term has been used commonly by sportscasters, coaches and fans for years.

That was a great game! I was there live and didn't think that he made the first down, and wish that I could find a slowed down, zoomed in instant replay to see if he made it or not. No offense, but you can't tell at all from this vid, since the footage doesn't follow the play at all. Regardless, congrats to both teams on a hard fought battle.

@buckeyebossman No offense at all. You can see the backward lateral, but I got so carried away watching the play live that I forgot to swing the camera over and catch the run...
