I always thought the title of this song was weird and unfitting--how could mathematics possibly describe such beauty adequately? As you can tell, I freaking love this song, and now with its tune (as well as a crapload of integration techniques and what not XD *shot*) stuck in my head for weeks, I just absolutely needed to cover it :D

The original version of this song was nice, but as a piano ballad (first one I heard was by Wotamin), it's just sublime. Actually, I would say that the piano version's the only way to go when covering this. I based the articulation on the English version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gNJ1Q4ekn8), because that's actually my favorite version of the song :) Lyrics-wise anyway, since I'm sure things were lost in translation in the direct translation of the Japanese version, whereas for the English one, many creative liberties were taken to improve its flow and romanticism. And my god, some parts of it are just so poetic and moving T_T

As you can tell, I tried my hand at some color editing this time...lol -_- I tried to make a sepia effect in the middle, and then contrast that with brighter and more colorful lighting afterwards. It turned out okay I guess, but given how Premiere has no presets for these things, what I ended up with was a poor man's sepia XD

Hardest part overall...was probably trying to find a +3 (F#) version of the off-vocal track that actually sounded good. Which I still don't have orz It's a mystery how both the Wotamin and English versions have such a rich and full sounding background track that sounds almost the exact same as the original piano version...oh well =/

Anyways...hope you enjoy!

  • You move funny

  • @Norahtj2468 lmao, you think so? Well, when you look at actual performers and musicians, they tend to move around quite a lot too.

  • u played by ear, right. is there anyway u can give me the notes though?

  • @amyvu5253 No, I didn't play by ear (see the music stand?). I guess you must've turned annotations off, cause there's a pretty big caption at the start saying "sheets in description" :P

  • @Lightflame421 yeah, when i was playing 4 years i was still using 2's :D now i switch between 2.5's and 3's (All Vandoren) I play on a B45. I don't think it's my clarinet, i just need to practice more i guess xD and see that all my valves are closed. sometimes my bridge isn't connected right and that makes that some valves stay open ... ^^"

  • @Lightflame421 Not necessarily true, you shouldn't ever say "use at least an x reed". It depends on too many factors, for example mouthpiece opening and facing length. A size 3 reed on a B45 will probably feel about the same as a 3.5 on an M30. Not to mention, hardness varies from brand to brand. Apparently a 3.5 Vandoren is equivalent to a Mitchell Lurie 4. I would say, just play whatever feels and sounds comfortable, and don't be pressured into buying harder reeds :)

  • @heyaanimerocksheya try getting some new cork and always use at least a 3 1/2 reed if you've been playing for at least 4 years. It used to happen to me and now I never forget to apply cork greese when necessary. If your clarinet wiggles at any joints that means you need cork as well so get a tune up and if their are no problems then try out and look for your favorite kind of reed. Hope this helps

  • @linnaes GOMEN!!!!! i thought the stand was just there and i read the discription, but i missed sheets. hehe i'm kinda blind (not litterally) and MAYBE i read the caption n forgot. i remember stuff from long timeS ago but not stuff i wanna do rigth then... XDDDDDD if u were trying to be mean, im sorry...

  • いいな...。クラリネット合うね

  • @linnaes i have recently found out that, how easier the reed blows, the worser my sound gets, it gets kind of edgy and i get these little quick squeeks in between. or it's just because i'm playing very badly ... =(
