Hi folks.
I love overclocking so I decided to make a video tutorial to teach people who do not know how to overclock, to overclock.

Please overclock with caution!

Here are the programs that I have used:

EVGA Precision: http://www.evga.com/PRecision/ *you need an EVGA account to download it*

ATI Tool: (Ignore the name, it can be used for any videocard!) http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/436/mirrors.php

RealTemp: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1325/mirrors.php

Optional - OCCT: http://www.ocbase.com/perestroika_en/index.php?Download

Once again, hope you enjoyed the video.

Please rate, comment and suscribe!!! :P

PS. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a question in the comment bar, or simply just sent me a message,
and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • 1 more thing lol i ran oc scanner for 12min and at the end it said that the gpu temp was 84c is

that safe for short term and long term use what is the max temp this card can safely reach

and again thanks so much :)

  • @jamstan1 That seems to be quite normal for the 580's due to how hot they run. If you aren't comfortable with a temperature that high, you could always bump up the fan speed a bit or put some money into a nice aftermarket cooler. To be honest, anything under 90 on load is fine for a gtx 580. If I recall correctly, any temps above 105 C causes permanent damage to the card. 84 on load is fine.

  • ok thanks a lot and thanks again for replying back to me and so quick to, your awsome bro

i hope you have a long and verry happy life

  • @jamstan1 Haha, no problem sir! Enjoy your 580, it's an awesome card.

  • sorry to bother you sir but i picked the core clock up 75m over awsome lol

but how high should i pick the fan up to

  • @jamstan1 You shouldn't really need to raise the fan speed unless your temps are too high. But always remember to monitor your temps and to use a stress test program to make sure you aren't artifacting. The fan speed control is really just there to give you cooler temperatures at the cost of a louder computer.

  • awsome thanks

  • @jamstan1 You can't really go wrong with 75 m over the stock core clock. Just monitor your temps and you should be good.

  • i have a gtx 580 what is a safe overclock speed for it

    thanks and good vid

  • what card do you have ?
