  • Hi Melissa, could you plz come up with a review of Kindle 3 as well? You seem to be a great gadget-critique:)

  • Considering you didn't open it and just gave your preconceived notions, that review was useless.

  • this is a great piece of kit. get one. i did and am not regretting it. although its abit expensive, i think the money you save over time will buy for device. plus the convenience is something you cannot beat.

  • this is a great piece of kit. i got one about a month ago and i'm loving it. can't wait to go travelling with it. this is where it will shine IMO.

advice: buy one if you can

  • With a device like this I don't think you would have to turn it off. It doesn't using power unless you are turning pages or browsing the web/downloading. I don;t think they would have a problem with it unless you were using the internet. But I am not entirely sure.

  • My only problem with the Kindle is the price tag. I would have no problems if someone wanted to randomly give me one. :)

  • at first I had no Idea what akindle was

sounds really cool carry around a whole library in i book space!how very HG Wells

  • Maybe you should read up a little bit on the current wave of ereaders before commenting.

The Kindle doesn't use an LED display. The e-paper display does not emit light. It, like paper, is viewed using ambient/reflected light. It only consumes power when the display is updated, eg, you go to the next page.

  • like that muslim democrat that murdered a soldier in kansas last week?

  • The DHS report was spot on. The hate is brewing in conservative circles.... I hope you don't go apes**t and start shooting people with whom you disagree, just like your cohorts...
