  • I love Diana Ross style. She is always so sharp especially back then.

  • This has always been one of my favorite Diana songs. Her phrasing on this song is simply unbelievable. Don't worry about the haters .... all legends have them. With every unpleasant story they make up, the legend grows. Diana is so classy, she just ignores it and lets her work stand on its own. And what great work it is!

  • me encata la musica es romantica como para toda la vida

  • @AIKAN1974 Your analysis is right on target. Despite not winning a Grammy, the Grammies have quite regularly recognized her star power. She was always at the top of their list for presenters and entertainers. Graciously, she has made many appearances on the Grammies, always boosting the ratings and the excitement.

  • me encata las musicas de dianna ross como la cancion time and love me gusta tanto i love you chaoo.

  • Thank you for the wonderful montage & this tune. I agree, the 70's Diana was her peak (visually & vocally), not only that , but everyone looked so bright, shiny & happy (younger Michael J., Quncy, Tony Bennett, etc.). It's also so good to see Diana's first hubby & the young kids (Rhonda & Tracy), good testament to Lady Di's best gift (being a good mother).

Makes me smile , just to look at this & hear this song (which I took so personally at the time... lol, proves 'it get's better').

  • LOVE This song listen to it everyday!!

  • Wow she was so gorgeous!!! There will never be another Diana!!!!

  • PS- this is a different mix than the one originally released on the "Diana Ross" album. On that mix there's an instrumental break around 2:35, whereas this has a vocal section which introduces the "today I fell in love" refrain, and a quicker fadeout. This mix actually made its first album appearance on Diana's Greatest Hits that was released at the end of 1976.

  • No doubt this song would've (at the very least) reached the Top 40 on the pop chart, had fate not intervened. The album came out in February, and "Love Hangover" was the track everyone was buzzing about. When Motown opted to release this as a single instead, ABC issued The 5th Dimension's cover of "Love Hangover". Motown quickly edited Diana's version for a single and rush-released it, killing "I Thought it Took a Little Time", which at that time was still climbing the chart. It stopped at #47.

  • YES,

    PERFECT

  • 1976 from the Mahagony album, memories

  • @SpazChat i heard those tracks on here. she did great.in fact. her pop ballad she excelled at. cause she is not a soul crooner.she can have fun on certain tracks but you are absolutely right..even her post motown stuff she gets down on the pop ballads. think about the times. .you didnt really have straight pop Black singers. maybe one or two..like dionne..which is why she never won a grammy...her nominations were alwasy r&b and aretha had that on lock. as they always dump black folks back then.

  • @AIKAN1974 , I just said what I said cause there were three tracks released in 2002 on her re-released 1st album, Stoney End, Time and Love, and a 5th Dimension tune. She did a beyond excellent job with those tracks. That was the quintessential Diana Ross. I wish they would have pushed that style for her more. She excelled with ballads and pop, I don't think they should have pretended she was a soul singer like they did at times.

  • @SpazChat true diana is not a soul singer in the traditional sense.but her baptist gospel/blues roots most definitely qualifies her to do some rhythm & blues..............but as she aged and as i have aged i realized that she can actually sing anything you put it front her her...............guess thats what you call a song stylist......with the exception of a few singles most of her 70s efforts were pretty good...this song should have been a million seller but it was scrapped for love hangover.

  • @AIKAN1974 , I'm thinking that the 100million unit tally mainly came from her singles or 45's as we used to call them back then. As big of a fan as I was of her back then, I still think there was something strange about most of the material that was chosen for her solo career. It's like the producers couldn't decide if she was a pop singer or soul singer. Duh, she was a pop singer and crooner, not a soul singer.

  • @SpazChat diana albums were not flops......she and donna summer were the biggest selling black females of the 70s........generally 3-5 million..........if they were flops she would not be at well over 100 million worldwide........true all motown artists were singles artists.....as is today..............just my opinion.................i love this video though...........

  • At (1:33sec) What is that shot from???????

  • @hev1701 , They don't release them, cause there is no demand for them, or not enough. As I understand it, Diana is a singles artist. Most of her albums were actually flops, but her singles were phenomenally popular and successful

  • At (3:00sec) you can see the looks of her husband distinctly upset with life in the limelight

  • Can you imagine the memories she must have? What an incredible life...

  • WOW !!! WHAT A BEAUTY THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER DIANA ,SO GOOD LOOKING, TALENTED ,FLAWLESS LOVE HER!!!

  • Poka - Factotum

  • THIS IS A FANTASTIC SONG!

    SOME-ONE I DIDN'T REALLY KNOW!
