Global News Calgary 07/07/08: Tornado's in Calgary & Airdrie

(07/07/2008) Global News @ 6pm reports on the Tornadic Activity on Monday July 7th and Sunday July 6th, 2008. There have been reports that a tornado that touched down in South Calgary and also we see the footage the day before of a tornado touching down in Airdrie. Gord Gillies, Jayme Doll, Lisa Ostrikoff, and Todd Gallant report.

ya i lived in texas! my house got hit by a tornado so we moved to canada (from there and family) and my dad was like wow they get tornados here too? but it wasent as bad as the one in texas =]

Calgary has had nine Tornadoes in its history with the strongest being an F1 in 1982. As Calgary has grown more northward where many of the largest storms pass through it has made itself more likely to be hit by large supercells and Tornadoes.
