Mounting your radar detector on its side (vertically) will increase your detection range of at least 20-40% on polarized photo radars (speed cameras) such as Ramet AD9, Ramer 7M & Multanova 6F.

The only disadvantage would be for off axis radar (around curves or bends) where you'd lose approx 10% and also MultaRadar-C (24.100GHz).

  • so against ka-band is better for detector to be horizontal?

  • Only for horizontally polarized radar such as Multanova, Ramet AD9, Ramer 7M
