I did a huge paper back at Hunter College--making comparisons with both Huey P. and George Wallce (D-ALA)..took the causes they espoused-lined them up with the far letf and center-left politicians of the day...and, BINGO, THE BOTH OF THEM LINED UP SQUARELY WITH THE CENTER/LEFT...and more left than Center!
A comparable ADA Ratin g of 88% for Huey P. and Wallace got an 82%..
HARDLY CONSERVATVE!

There's a good movie about Huey called "King Fish". John Goodman plays him very well.(Although, I havent seen it since I was a kid.) Every time someone starts talking about southern conservatism, I think about Huey and have hope. Solidarity F.W.

My feelings exactly, i have that movie BTW lol. New Orleans and Louisiana; as a whole, could use Huey now, thats for sure. If the kingfish was Gov today, he'd be yelling down the white house over Katrina and everything else!
