Running on the 64-bit version of Ubuntu Linux. Please note that the 32-bit version of Dolphin for Linux does not function properly, or at least not for me.
The video lags from the recording program. Also I set the program to record at 15 frames per second. Just keep that in mind when judging the performance.
As you can see that was my first time playing in that galaxy. I will post more vids in the future when I figure out how to get the sound recorded also. The sound works nearly perfectly in the game, its just that the program didn't record it.
Ohh the irony, Playing a Wii game on a Linux PC with a Windows Xbox 360 Controller!! Who would imagine?
You can also use a real wii mote with the emulator. I however was using an USB xbox 360 controller when I recorded this video.

How to Install Ubuntu 64- Bit:
The iso image is free to download from ubuntu.com
Look for another youtube video detailing the instillation. If you burn the live cd version and boot it, the installation GUI is pretty easy to follow.
How to Install Dolphin:
Once you have Ubuntu installed click "system" then "administration" and then "Hardware Drivers". Install the recommended video driver. Before you do that make sure your connected to the Internet. And installing system updates beforehand wouldn't hurt either.
After all that, click "applications" then "accessories" and then "terminal".
Go to this url :http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/wiki/Linux_dependencies
and then copy and paste the command it details at the top of the page into the terminal. Its really long!
If it didn't execute the command then hit the "enter" key on the keyboard. This command downloads the source code and compiles it for you. This requires Internet access too. When its finished the application should be available in your Home folder. Click "places" and "Home folder". From there go into the folder that mentions dolphin then go into the binary folder and then the linux folder. Click the file called "dolphin-emu". The emulator should then start.
Playing Games:
This link details what kind of DVD drive to buy that will allow you to play your retail wii game.

For the price of Win 7 you could get a top of the line quad core CPU or a mid-high GPU.
Over 90% of super computers use Linux. Check out "Linux" at wikipedia.

dolphin works perfect for me in debian squeeze (svn dolphin) and arch linux (stable version of dolphin). and yep, better than windows. just keep on triying bro.
uncheck dual core, try unsetting any antialiasing of high quality option from nvidia-settings.
im assuming you use nvidia without any shame.
good luck man, and dump ubuntu.
