"The government wouldn't waste their time with no positive outcome"? You were being sarcastic right?

i cant prove it saved lives, just as you cant prove it didnt. but what we BOTH know is that the gov. wouldnt waste their time doing this if it had no positive outcome.

its ludacris that you would think that the US government (made up of people just like you and me) would just pick people off the street and water board them, knowing they would get no information.

Torturing somebody to get some specific info like where a bomb/hideout might be or something like that is harsh and maybe primitive but necessary. Torturing somebody just to get them to admit or confess to something is completely different. Because then obviously they would just confess to stop the torture. It isn't a black and white subject. Water boarding seems the most humane type of torture at least.

exactly. if the information is where a bomb is in manhattan, and there is a chance the suspect will give the location to me, im fucking water boarding. its not like they water boarded innocent people off the street, these people were members of al-qaeda. and like i said, if it didnt work the US gov. wouldnt waste their time doing it.

It is just logical, i can imagine myself in a situation where I am in constant suffering being tortured, hitting the breaking point and just saying bullshit information to get out of the situation. If i did actually have the information it is possible i would give it away.

how can you say its false? its a safe assumption youve never had to torture someone for information regarding lives. and its a safe assumption the only thing you know about torture is what youve read on some liberal website. if its not valuable info, why would it be continued? are you one of those pricks who think the US gov. just wants to hurt anybody they get a chance to? if it didnt work, they would stop doing it. period.

A majority of confessions from torture are simply false, if not all. The suffering isn't worth the low chance of receiving any valuable information. Plus it really is just primitive.
