If you wan it to fake shutdown use Tell application "Finder" to sleep
That will put it to sleep! I use this and I scared my antie

display dialog "The Computer Has been Infected With A virus! Proceed to Shutdown?" with title "Virus Detected!" with icon 0 buttons{"Shutdown","Ignore"}
if the button returned of the result is "Shutdown" then tell application "Finder" to shut down
