There are many other restrictions, which are meant to prevent the Malay culture from being over run by other, very large ethnic groups and its influences. In fact it's a constant fight (none violent) between the ethnics. I can understand, the Malays are preserving their culture, so do the Swiss. Every country should have the right to preserve its identity. If one doesn't feel comfortable, there is always option to go back where they came from.

It's an old comment but I just wanted to say I totally agree with you.

In Malaysia, which is mostly an Islamic country, every new developing area has designated place for 1 church, 1 indian and chinese temple and 1 mosque. All tho that's the rule, it's impossible to built anything but the mosque, and the others will have to wait for decades to get their permits. Which seldom happens. We have on average 6 mosques (3 big 3 small) within 2km radius through out the country.
