I'm sorry my friends, I won't be able to reply......if you care just to listen and enjoy and leave no comment at'all, it is OK by me...just remember, it is my joy to share a little of me, and my environs here..life is a lil rough lately, and the "show" that is all around us, is the uplift,.free, no cost......The woodpeckers and scrub jays, and squirrels all love the lil town I live in, and the almonds must play a big part, for them.. Placer County was an ultra rich farming area in the late 1800's early 1900's....still is. Fruit was shipped all over the country, by rail, from this location as well as other nearby towns. The almond tree: some were surely planted, some are self seeding and some are what is called seed almond....the nut is bitter........two years ago, I picked about 4-5 big brown bags full..........last year it was an "off year", no bearing. (we bought some nuts, for the squirrels) I am hoping the "show" which was really spectacular, will yield up some wayside pickin's;-).....the Baritone UKE is so much fun to play. I laid down an improv track, recorded it, wrote to disc.then played back on my computer, and recorded a second line on top......primitive mix!! it suits, me I'm a time bandit, lately, but somehow find time for "Rambles". again- sincere thanks, I do appreciate my faithful listeners;-)...also, listen for the train.....................:-)the shot of the road and cars..: taken from atop a long tunnel built by the WPA...the train/rail line sits ATOP the tunnel! ....it is Old State Hwy 40, the original route taken to the Sierras, later replaced by interstate 80, which parallels it
