In spiritual practice you usually try to go beyond separation and strive for oneness, but in dealing with the mind it helps to separate yourself from it for some time, to see its often crazy automatisms. Then step by step you may try to integrate the mind into your whole self again, but this is tricky, because it happens just too easily that the mind takes over and acts like the big boss again affecting body, feelings, emotions and perception - living on the razor's edge, phew!
