Way out in the country !!!!!

Sorry, but I like Jerry's sound. However, if it makes people feel better, I do believe that Jerry himself said he sucked at pedal steel. Maybe I don't get these fine musical things, but I really loved Jerry's addition to this piece. But that's just me. Peace.

Always good to see JA fans yelling at each other rather than loving the music....well not so much but....lovely song.

@AlexNiedt there is a difference between compose and play and yes nit picking is essential to making sublime sonic elegance that seeps through your ears with melodic and tonal excellence
-
@philthekeese Also, if you think some of the world's best composers and musicians (I'm not putting myself in that category, so don't even go there) haven't been extremely harsh critics, you need to read your history. :)
-
@philthekeese I'm not arrogant; I'm my own harshest critic. But I know what I'm talking about, and there are people telling me to shut up who obviously don't. Very simple. That's all. In my initial comment on this video, I simply stated I don't like Jerry's playing here, and I wish Jefferson Airplane had hired a better pedal steel player. Didn't know I'd be jumped all over by a bunch of defensive Jerry fans.

@AlexNiedt i fucked up your and you're big deal i don't care and if you think your grammatical nit picking is supposed to bother me in the slightest bit you are just as naive as i thought your arrogance is laughable i assume you suck because of it a real musician doesn't go around gloating and being an egocentric douche on videos they play their instrument until they get better and better and then they die never once thinking they are that good because arrogance inhibits your abilties
-
@JustJake57 Your reasoning is terrible. If my opinion is devoid of value because I'M a nobody, how is YOUR opinion of any value whatsoever? I don't need to be a somebody to hear better than you.
-
@philthekeese You admit he sounds novice, yet conclude that I must suck at the pedal steel to say he's not that good. It's funny that your comments about Jerry's playing actually support my point, yet you blindly attack me like a fool. I'm glad all these people who have never touched the instrument are so sure of themselves and find it logical to assume the person who owns and plays one needs their head rewired (nice grammar, by the way).

@AlexNiedt you probably suck at pedal steel and that is why you are on here bitching your subconsciously hating on his playing because you yourself suck he may not of been that great but he gave it a go and it sounded pretty good a little on the novice side but good so why don't You shut the fuck up no one cares what instruments you've played since the age of six you're a douche and you need you're head rewired
I was a baby (10), and loved this album. I bought Meet the Monkeys first, then Volunteers and Led Zepplin II...guess what kind of childhood I had?! It was great!

This album's a classic, released ten years before I was born, I remember my parent's had this record when I was growing up, but they didn't listen to it, it wasn't until the end of the nineties I grew into the Airplane and this is just a gem.
