We will live in heaven as immortal eternal children of Yahweh, therefore we are His god children. He made it so, who can deduct from Him? I could also say to you, why can't there be just one God the Father and why can't Jesus be his son? Why can't the Holy Spirit be the Fathers spirit? @SkinnyAndShort do you pray to god or jesus? The trinity tries to explain the "one-ness" of God the father, God the son and God the holy spirit. If God can be everywhere and anyone time how can he NOT be all three at once? Think about it. He can because he is GOD. ONE GOD with three "persons" not three GODs. Hence why the trinity is a very accurate description of the heavenly father.
