de Sainte-Colombe: Concert le Varié à deux violes esgales

Monsieur de sainte Colombe is a famous composer for the viola da gamba, but at the same time very unknown.
We know that he added the seventh string (the lowest A) to the Gamba and that he was the teacher of Marin Marais.
In the movie: Tous les matins du monde, is de Sainte Colombe a very stubborn and excentric composer. (You can find some cuts on Youtube).
His concerts for 2 Gambas are very capricious. To be honest, they lack some form, but that makes them very dreamy and fantastic. He creates wonderful moments and spots in the music, but it is a little fragmentary and for that reason, difficult to play together and even worse when you have to do it all yourself!
