Jay Z is one of the few Hip-Hop greats we have thhese days. Unfortunately, Hip-Hop music is becoming a disgrace of what it once was in the 80's, 90's, and early 00's. It's all about the money, all about MTV, all about the radio play. Rap music is generic with it's combination with electropop and autotune. It is the Hair Metal of the 00's/early 10's. Like Grunge and Gangsta Rap, Indie Rock and Underground Rap will eventually destroy this terrible Electro-Hop autotune genre.

The people who are saying hip-hop and rap are dead must only be listening to the top 100s charts. There is so much amazing new rap artists, but you just have to stop listening to mtv and start searching for your music. On another note, Jay-Z is an amazing artist, and Grizzly Bear are amazing artists.
