"Newkleus was born to rap since 'The Chronic' was jammin', back when the genre expanded and Onyx was slammin'" Newkleus, was born in Findlay, OH and lived his entire childhood in the small town of Carey, OH (pop. 3,901). He first fell in love with hip hop at the age of seven, watching "Nuttin' But A 'G' Thang" and other music videos on MTV. The first piece of music he ever bought with his own money was the cassette tape single of Tupac Shakur's "Dear Mama" (the beat of which he used for his song "My Perspective" on his mixtape "The 11-Year Old Boy in the Trunk of My Car").

It was not until March 2, 1999 (age 14), when Newkleus first began writing rhymes seriously. He wrote countless songs and rhymes over the next decade and began to look towards music as a career. At age 16-18, Newkleus recorded his earliest tracks with Findlay artist Sagatron at his home studio. There were several tracks that went on to be remade and rerecorded on later Newkleus releases.

In May 2007, Newkleus began recording "The 11-Year Old Boy in the Trunk of My Car", which was released July 21, 2007. It has received positive reviews locally and gained Newkleus notoriety. Newkleus prides himself on his independent, free-thinking, yet true hip hop style. Newk considers himself a "real" patriot of the United States and has never been afraid to voice his opinion on political and social issues; letting his views be heard across this great nation. Newkleus is affiliated with Tha Havenotz, Illhouse, Free Agent HeadQuarterz, and is also a member of several music groups such as Full Deck (w/ Wikid Mex & Tim-Chi), Westside Rubberduckies (w/ MC Sykosis), and 2 of Carey's Most (w/ S-2-Da-T).

Newkleus released his second album/mixtape on June 24, 2008 entitled "Fungus Trunkus" and it featured 18 new tracks from him. He performed in promotion of "Fungus Trunkus" and began working on his third album, titled "Silent Weapons 4 Quiet Wars or How I Learned to Start Worrying and Hate the Ruling Elite" in late 2008 and JUST released it on May 19, 2009. Information about the releasing of the album and more Newkleus info will be posted in blogs here on Myspace, the Amigos De Newkleus facebook group page, and eventually on an official Newkleus website that is being developed to coincide with the release of the "Silent Weapons 4 Quiet Wars or How I Learned to Start Worrying and Hate the Ruling Elite".
