Jonathan Handel is a dirty little weasel who took a big check to make this video. He is a liar, with blatant disregard for the lives he affects with his erroneous bs. There are no "factions" within SAG--there are factions on the BOARD, which has been corrupted by some Board Members who are also Producers (conflict-of-interest). That's how this whole mess started. A list celebrities aren't even a part of this equation--their contracts DON"T EVEN RESEMBLE the standard Scale SAG contract. VOTE NO.

I"d like to know what "unreasonable claims" Mr. Handel thinks SAG should drop. Their right to a fair wage? Their right to a future with Pension and Health Care? Their right to compensation for the reuse of their image (which IS the damn content for Chrissakes), all they have to sell, being hocked all over the internet--NOT BY THEIR OWN CHOICE, BUT BY RICH PEOPLE LOOKING TO MAKE MORE MONEY--so the ONE thing in the world that you sell as an Actor--your IMAGE, is stolen from you for free? VOTE NO!

Unfortunate? September?
Me being out of work until September would be a bit more than unfortunate for me. I am sick to death of succesfull actors and wealthy lawyers trying to explain how this is not as bad as it seems, and necessary. I do blame SAG and it's members. Do they really think that this is purely an AMPTP issue?. This is nothing more than rich kids fighting over gold bricks. Don't fool yourselves people. The below the line workers mean nothing to these self absorbed creeps.

You seem to ask, since when do SAG members give a shit about the welfare of the rest of their industry. Well Bez, you make my point better than I could have.
Do I know the issues? Yes I do Bez. California is going bankrupt, movies arent being produced, people are loosing their homes and actors are better at reading scripts than thinking.
The only precedent SAG sets is one of selfishness!!! SAG - Selfish Angry Gangsters.

Since when was one Union responsible for keeping an entire industry employed? By any chance are you IA, Bluejava? If SAG gets a good contract then it actually benefits you since SAG sets a precedent for subsequent negotiations. Do you actually know what's in and not in the June 30 deal? Do you know the issues and what the SAG Membership would be losing in the next 3 years if the Deal is implemented? Read "Politics Of Glamour" and getting a freakin' brain.

The other crafts are beginning to view the actors as a bunch of selfish assholes. Your fight for a better contract seems to hold no consideration for the current welfare of the rest of us. There are many people paying the high price for this fight of yours. We are people who have never and will never receive any residuals. Its time to unite with reality. Stop demanding, instead, negotiate. Vote NO on the strike.

A comment from an article in the Variety in regards to the A-List actors. If they are truly set as Stars. They have no need for the guild any longer. So what ever they say or want the SAG leadership too do is totally irrelevant. They don't have a dog in this fight. What they do have is, productions in development, filming, post production or their working on one of the projects or situated in an episodic. So, to hell with the Rank and file actor huh? This isn't unity for strength! VOTE YES!
Unrealistic demands?! Are you high? If you're actually serious then get get freakin' informed. Fighting against rollbacks that have been in the contract for decades is unrealistic? Wanting to participate fairly based on a percentage of profit in the Internet is unrealistic? (If the studios don't make anything neither does the actor) Asking for the P&H contribution to be put on top of the actors DVD residual rather than taken out is unrealistic? Unbelievable.

All you little SAG Members out there who've busted your humps for years to eek out a living in this industry--VOTE NO on this sham of a Contract, and lets force these greedy fuc kers back to the bargaining table treating us FAIRLY. This can be done without a strike, and we can get what we need--the small increases they are waving in front of our faces right now, AS WELL AS our residuals and our FUTURES. Don't let these mofos from other Unions scare you. It's none of their business. VOTE NO
