Maria Bamford is my favorite comedian. I love her material and I wish we could somehow get her on SNL! She'd be great to replace Kristen Wiig when she leaves, as I think their characters have similarities.

Yes I think your right. I recall Maria saying in an interview that she's not partial to actually acting, in the sense of being under some one else's direction or with an ensemble. Really to bad for us her die-hard fans.
