A figure-8 School Bus Racing Documentary.
In a small town in the back woods of Florida, a group of blue coller simple folk gather to participate in a bi-annual wild event, Figure 8 School Bus Racing. 18-20 full size school buses pack a puny 3/8 mile figure 8 track and race 20 harrowing laps. The people behind this event are the reason this documentary is extremely entertaining and eye popping. The story follows three drivers and the track promotor during a 3-week intensive push, to prep things for race night. This piece is extremely entertaining for all audiences and will not let you down.

I do this at Desoto Super speed way, in Manatee county, We had some of the fastest busses in the state, until they limited the engine size to a 366, we were running big block 454s, and 560s. I'm just looking for comparison, how fast do you guys usually get going through the X?

They have these at the charlotte county speedway (Punta Gorda Florida) and it's insane.

Cool!  I recognize many of the characters from the PS2 game I play ALOT 'Eve of Destruction" That makes it even more worth while watching. Love to meet those guys!

The first time I saw one of these races myself near Largo, FL, I laughed so hard I was crying! It's so surrreal to watch full-sized school buses throwing themselves around like dirt racers.
