  • p.s. i have always been taught to do up from the front and ive worked at a few equestrian centres. have never heard anything different and have always practiced this with my horses

  • agreed but i normally suggest that a horse is in a stall like in the video or tied up when rugging. if you are rugging out in a paddock that CAN be asking for trouble in many other ways :) thanks for the comments :D

  • Yes part two is wrong.Leg straps to be done first before chest strap.Horse can break their legs if the are to shy away from something and have the rug slip around to the front and trip or fall because of it.

  • Part 2 is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are supposed to do the back up first, not the front, if the horse decides to run off, or is scared and bolts, the rug wil slip to the front of the horse, making it fall, or putting a hole in your rug.

  • i do it from the front to! dont worry some people tell me that to but if your in a stable or have a safe horse they shouldnt run away when your putting the rug on

  • Putting on the rug doing the front strap up first is wrong because if your in the paddock doing it and the horse runs away then its gonna hang on there neck and it will then slide down over there face and they would pannick.

But besides that GREAT VID :)
