At the Capitol on February 25, 2011, my husband and I confront protesters who are using the Veterans Memorial as a place to tape a lot of signs and pile up their stuff. They say that we are the first people to have a problem with it.

  • @dodeiale

    You're an idiot, shut up.

You don't know shit, about anything, your views are that of a child's. A memorial is a sacred thing, made for our heroes to be remembered, and honored, it's not about anything else but honoring those troops, not about fighting against evil in the world now, or anything of the sort. It is not a piece of stone, it is a stone created for those that died fighting for others, I care about the memorial, as should ALL people.

  • The kid your confronting sounds like a faggot, they should bring back the draft to toughen up the pussies that are modern youth.

  • @bart1861 They called thugs and slobs... thugs and slobs. These slobs did hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage to the capital... all for the express purpose of causing disgust in anyone who actually watched the protests with a neutral eye (as I did at first). They didn't "ignore" the courts, they won in court. But facts are not the currency of this protest.

  • @bart1861 Yes, Hitler was also a proponent of gun control. I realize you may have missed this, but Walker's bill had nothing to do with 'trade unions'. FDR made this distinction, and Wisc public workers are now reduced to the dire conditions of US Federal employees. How will they ever survive? I can't believe you seriously wrote "legislated in questionable ways to avoid the Dem minority" about a minority which fled the state to illegitimately prevent quorum.

  • @jtkeri, one of Hitler’s first acts outlawed trade unions. Then he dissolved parliament because it was inconvenient to rule through them, demonized his opposition, and suppressed free speech. Wis Repubs weakened unions, legislated in questionable ways to avoid the Dem minority, called opponents thugs and slobs, restricted the ability to peaceably assemble, and ignored the courts. You tell me what that looks like.

  • @bart1861 I realize you may not want to hear this. But people who saw concentration camps, death marches and the aftermath of the racial supremacy ideologies in both the pacific and european theatres would find the restrictions on public bargaining (that the American president of the time, FDR, considered essential and obvious) just a *bit* short of "fascism". Unfair? perhaps... unjustified? perhaps... partisan political point scoring? maybe... but "fascist"? surely you're joking.

  • This should have been an easy fix. Rip all their CRAP off the Memorial and pray they want to try and stop you.

This is yet, another example of the Cry Baby Losers

  • Bunch of scumbags get out of the capital and do something useful.

  • 183 dislikes are those disgusting liberal college hippies

  • If I saw them defacing a veteran's memorial I would make a citizens arrest and let the police handle them. What a bunch of liberal losers.. disgusting
