one thing though, theyre using tiles with a revealed edge, which can be kinda tricky to cut border tiles for, they dont mention how thats achieved.

Where I live, ceilings have to be fire retardant. Two layers of sheetrock is standard for safety requirements. Does this product fulfill any fire safety requirements?

@fratsman Drop ceilings tiles are usually rated as a Class A fire retardant. This means that they have passed an ASTM 84 flame spread and smoke develop test. The test passes most building codes. Check the building codes in your area to see if Class A meets their requirements.
