I agree she shouldn't be held accountable for the murder in any way. It is just simply wrong to kill people (or did you say that already?). But I do understand that her daughter won't forgive her just like that. Maybe in time, or if she had used someone else's pictures. I think presenting the case of Internet accountability with this case is fair, but this film does it without a balanced argument. What really upset me was the psychiatrist was actually excusing the murdererer! Yes, the mother was messed up. Yes she did potentially upset the balance of his mind with her behaviour. But the victim was also incredibly naive. It was a very sad chain of events, and only one person pulled the trigger. He deserves no sympathy and her behaviour does not excuse it.

@dimransee he didnt get obsessed so easily , they messaged for almost 2 years , they both were in the wrong but the montgomery guy was the one that pulled the trigger , there is no law against lying and leading people on but when it costs a young man his life that takes it beyond justifiable , she didnt know that the guy was mentally ill but just read the convos it was obvious and the way she messaged you could tell she was attention seeking and loving every sentence

i get that she was a shitty person but people love blaming the actions of others on women for some reason. she couldn't make anyone do shit, people have their own free will and if some dude got so obsessed so easily, he already had issues and they would have come out with or without this woman. being a shitty person online really isn't a crime tbh.
