This is a high-speed photography device I made using a tape recorder, microphone, and disposable camera. The device fires a flash when it detects a sound. I would take my normal camera to a dark room with this setup and set it for a 15 second exposure. Then I would make a noise, i.e. pop a balloon, and it would catch the image. You can find out how to make it over at popular science.

  • dude as always you amaze me...... so does it take pictures like the cameras they set up in the woods to "capture" footage of bigfoot and such? either way man its awesome....... keep up with the god work with your vids man....you should try to invent something for self defense in some awesome way..... later and keep it up man....

  • I think the woods would be too noisy for that- it's very sensitive and was sometimes frustrating to use as it would fire with the slightest sound. I did use it to get some pretty neat shots of balloons popping, splashes of water, etc.
