Obama goes back on his promise about public funds

Well, Obama has broken his first promise. He's decided to forgo public funding for his campaign. The best part of this whole video is at the end when Bill Schneider talks about Obama's "movement". MOVEMENT? I thought this was just a Presidential campaign? I guess Obama is the second coming. Silly me. And, by the looks of the absolute delight in Bill Schneiders face, I don't even know why we're even bothering to vote in November. The media has anointed Obama already. Why shouldn't the American people just anoint him too? Oh, right. We kind of fought against that in the American Revolution.

Now the Supreme Court has overturned campaign finance laws that even McCain and Feingold wrote which will now allow lobbyists and special interests unlimited campaign contributions. Conservatives only did this because of how much non-lobbyist, "average Joe" money Obama raised during the campaign. Go figure!

So, you are "extremely happy"? Try convincing someone else. Anyways, it's good to take an elected political leader's word for what they say, but any rational person with common sense knows that during unpredictable economic times like these, previous promises may need to be broken as we look for a solution to remedy what can work, what will work, what might work and what won't work. President Obama may be a breath of fresh air from the norm, but he isn't a miracle worker.

do you know me? im actually extremely happy, i just get upset when politicians lie. i guess im old school. when someone tells me something for their heart, what they "promise" they are going to do or not do, i take their word for it. I dont know why obama went back on his promise to not except public funds, but it shows me maybe hes not in control of his own decisions. i dont want someone behind the scenes in charge.

Tell you what. With that attitude, why don't you check Organ Donor on the back of your Drivers license. This way, when you die from all the misery you're in, you can at least save the life of someone who doesn't believe in giving up on one's country, or elected leaders chosen by the majority of the people within the country.
