アスキー・メディアワークス創立２０周年記念作品
『アクセル・ワールド』

２０４６年、ニューロリンカーと呼ばれる携帯端末を用いることで生活の多くが仮想ネットワーク上で行われるようになった世界。

だが、どんなに時代が進んでも「いじめられっ子」はなくならない......。ハルユキもそんな中学内格差（スクールカースト）最底辺に位置する一人であった。
ローカルネットの片隅で、ひたすらにスカッシュゲームに打ち込むだけの暗く陰鬱な日々を過ごしていた彼だったが、ある日突然、校内一の有名人《黒雪姫》に声をかけられる。

「もっと先へ――《加速》したくはないか、少年」

彼女から謎のプログラム《ブレイン・バースト》を託され、《加速世界》の秘密を教えられたハルユキは、黒雪姫の『騎士』として戦うことを決意する......!!

everyone is complaining about the main character being Fat... i think he's still going to a) get the chick b) save the world and most importantly c) being slim

it's a fact, how other way he is going to become an appealing character? Japan is the land of superficiality and trivial things...

Even if its not like that, he is STILL better than most people commenting here, because he is what almos everyone on here wets about every night... a goddamn anime character

@Necross1454 BTW... I love anime, don't get me wrong... But every time I read senseless coments like "oh the character is ugly" and stuff like that... People don't understand how hard is to make a history and create original characters...

I like the main character design because its original. You don't always need a sex symbol to make a good story...
