Baby Elephant to the Rescue

We took this video and photos in Kruger Game Preserve. Two adolescent elephants were mock fighting, which you see quite often. They were probably brothers, as one was larger. In the same area were also a female elephant and tiny baby. While the two teens were fighting, the smaller one got shoved down and was having lots of trouble getting up. The larger one was trying to help, then the tiny baby came running to help rescue the one on the ground. This baby was probably a sibling as well.

Well, I'm sure the little one wasn't really helping, but he sure was trying. Sorry you didn't like my little video. It was an amazing thing to see and we just wanted to share it.

When the little one got on the ground, it was almost like he was mimicking the one having trouble getting up lol. Too cute and very awesome, must have been amazing to see in person!

When you see how elephants live in tight, closeknit family groups you realize how horrible it is to capture them, strip them of family and turn them into entertainment for board humans!
