nice car (I have it also hehe :P) I manage to get 8.5 on mine on flat surfaces as well. There are some absolute idiots on here who think they know it all and think thats a lie. In fact once I got around the 8 sec mark on a flat. I couldnt believe my eyes when i saw it back on film and saw the time. (and it was using the speedo not gauge) :)

@r3vX1990 i agree its not the best posible time that they post in the brochure, and kiiler576 stop being jealus of not owning a golf tsi because u have no clue how much power the small tsi engines produce, experience it, and the come here and talk

@giorgosgud downhill? You are obviously not aware of the latest technology, engine management and various DSG gearboxes available. For a 1400cc engine it is very impressive, it makes you wonder why it is only 2s behind a 2000cc car like a Honda Civic type R! It's one of the most efficient and fastest engines of it's class. They are designed to give maximum torque at low revs similar to a diesel turbo engine. Try one!

Mine stock 122 hp tsi did 0-100 in 9.3 sec. No downhill.
