Nightmare-an Experimental Horror Short

I decided to give the horror genre a shot, seeing is how most of my work is action/comedy. A very short experimental film about Jacob living his nightmare! If it turns out good I've had a few ideas to play off of this idea and create a much longer short film.
Shot with the Sony HVR Z5U camera and edited on Mac's iMovie (Im trying to use the most basic editing softwares to prove that you dont need expensive programs to make good videos.)

Question: How did you store the footage onto and edit.. Did you use a firewire 400 cable or did you use a USB storage device.. I really need an answer cause i need to buy one for my college and i'm struggling between Sony HVR-Z5U anad the HDR-FX1000..

Good concept, but all the suspense was built for something not that scary. But being it's an experiment, 9/10 cos that blur spot got on my nerves XD
