A day after being hauled to court, over the cemetery scandal, Nairobi mayor, Geophrey Majiwa, stayed put in office, as councillors demanded his resignation. The mayor seems to be riding on the notion that he is not a state officer, as defined in the new constitution. But as Yassin Juma reports, pressure is mounting on him to bow out.

  • @mytime81 Thanks for the correction was just giving a rough idea of where mavoko could be coz someone was asking where the hell it is.

  • @siasabora robbing from the dead. I thought i was evil but this man makes devil scared.

  • @karuitha Majiwa is an Omera or kujifananisha na Omeras?

  • @womamaz I think majiwa is an Omera and odinga may not want to break the Omera Taboo

  • Is this Majiwa an Omera ama nikujifananisha?

  • i would like to hear raila's opinion on why majiwa is not stepping aside for the wheels of justice to roll.

  • No wonder the parking fees are skyrocketing in the CBD...if these goons are still on the reins....Bure kabisa.

  • Nairobi should be run by qualified professionals and not thugs like the ones speaking here. No wonder Nairobi is very badly run. Majiwa must go, being Mayor especially of a city like Nairobi make you a state official. Nairobi is not just a backward village in Turkana but the capital of Kenya and being Mayor is a huge task.

  • @mdomokaya1, well said...that is why I said a big yes to the katiba so wananchi can elect their own mayor, not the councillors' mayor..

    Majiwa Geoffery Odhiambo aende gerezani!!!

  • @melionsden ...actually its black n white stripes in kenya...don jua which superceeds the other....Orange on the other hand is the color of two political parties and a cell phone company....hehehe
