Wigan Athletic's first ever Premier League goal vs Sunderland Aug. 2005.

A Jason Roberts penalty given within one minute of the kick off proving decisive as the game finishes 1 - 0 to Wigan, giving them their first premiership points and win, in their third game.

  • @WafcSean Well just below that about the same is my club, Blackburn Rovers. Done my research aswell mate. Like I said. Shit club. Shit fans.

  • @Insanit7x at least get your facts right. It was in fact our third game in the premier league. Answer me one question - How many other Premier League Clubs have a fifth of their town's entire population inside their ground every week despite the presence of many huge clubs within 50 miles?

  • First ever Premier League game, and still empty seats. Shit club, shit fans.

  • @FireYourEngine Oh yeah, and I suppose you've seen stadiums with every single seat filled eh?

Sunderland and Middlesbrough always have empty seats and before all the money came in, Man City hardly ever sold out Eastlands

  • empty stands. embarassment to football

  • 4-1 hahaha fuck off !!!
