The city of San Francisco is proposing to build a new stadium for the 49er's in the old navy shipyard on Hunter's Point. KRON4's Maureen explains that this is just one part of the city's plans for the shipyard.

un-friggin believable !!!....What a lie. That is some of the most toxic land in the state. The city of SF and all these developers had no issues with generations of residents of Bayview/HP having some of the worst health problems in the state. SF is such a hypocritical, segregated city it's not even funny...It got me so sick, that I had to leave. I couldn't take the fake lipservice that the city shells out about how culturally sensitive & democratic that it is...what a blatant lie...for years !!

@joshtj44 What is so sad about it? They can move to Oakland, Vallejo, Concord, Richmond, Antioch, or any number of other Bay Area shitholes. "The City" needs to be free of drugs, gangs, violence, etc because you are correct about the tourist industry.

They should start with the Tenderloin first before cleaning up Hunters Point however... that place is a blight

Now we all know S.F. thrives off the tourist dollar. They are very happy with keeping the drugs, gangs and violence isolated in that part of the city and away from those precious tourists. Why do you think the rest of the city is so expensive to live in? Sad as it is the idea is to keep the lower class tucked away in that small corner until they decide to raise prices and completely push them out of the city. This is the society they created and now they can't control it. This is sad.

I live in Seattle, and use to live in San Jose and would make a special trip up to go Mozelle's Fried Chicken to have my favorite smothered pork chops and greens. Now I heard the business is gone. So what now, is the Colonel moving in??? There is so much of that going on in Seattle, it's not even funny. I live in a part of Seattle where it is allegedly one of the most diverse zip codes in the country and all that is going on now. I always support minority owned biz around here.

That old closed down Naval Shipyard is the reason many African/Black Americans have lived there since World War 2. They mostly came from the south to gain employment during the war and the government has let it go and turn to shit ever since..Now they want to clean it up for big business and profit and run theses people out of there community...bull shit! Btw my father grew up on evens in the point so my fam has pride for this place.

I agree on that, they dont give a fuck about nothing but making money, they could care less about the people that have been living there for generations. but it aint the 'white man' that's doin' this. There are no bi-annual 'white men' meetings and we dont keep tabs with each other. That's the same illogical thinking that gets black people categorized and stereotyped.
