Filmed Oct 3, 2010 at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.
The Swedish Princess Cecilia Gustavsdotter Vasa weds the peasant Francis Flute right before Joust.
Apologies for the poor quality and lousy angle. All I had with me was my cheap digital camera, but I was asked quickly to film it for a former cast member who had to leave but wanted to see what happened. Hopefully you can hear everything over the sounds of the crowd in the background. The gist of it was, the princess accidentally found herself betrothed to the peasant based on some obscure old traditions because she smacked him around with a stick. She went through with the wedding to tick off her brother. Sounds like a better reason than most nobility come up with for getting hitched, doesn't it?
I even assisted with the nuptials. I delivered a weed...I mean, betrothal gift. ;)
The sound is fine! I love it!! Thank you for recording it! :)
