Christie said he did nothing wrong in taking $24,000 in donations tied to a law firm headed by Herbert Stern, a former federal judge he awarded a $3 million no-bid contract to monitor the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He also came out swinging in response to questions about his awarding a monitoring contract to David Kelley, former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.
