Let me know if you find a better supplier. :)

Step one: rinse with clean water and fill container with water and put in fridge about 8 hours.
Step two: repeat step one, haha!
Step three: rinse again and blend with clean water
Step four: Refridgerate

I don't think there is a set time for how long you need to soak. I've seen different times on different websites. It stops expanding after about 12 hours. You also don't need to rinse at any set time. It doesn't seem to go bad. I've found conflicting things on this. I make a batch every few months and it doesn't go bad during that time.

  • This is GREAT info. Can i find the Department of Agriculture's study on land soil online or did you read that in a book somewhere? Also, same for the Earth summit study and the statement you made about civilizations failing?

  • @thrufresheyes It was all found in books and online. I'm sure you could find all of it online though.

  • I have seen several websites warning about the dangers of carrageen.

Since carrageen is what irish moss is mostly made up of,

What is your advice on the possible side effects of consuming this item?

    Is it safe?

  • @gio144 I have never seen anything like that. I will look into it. Do you have some of the websites you saw handy?

  • Awwww!! This is my first RawBabies video! VERY INFORMATIVE!! I loved it. I'm new to Raw/living foods and learning more and more all the time. Irish Moss is a whole new chapter for me so thank you for being my first teacher. Do you have a blog? I can't wait to see more of your video's now that I'm subscribed. Namaste. :)

  • @beaubicknese You make the assumption that it's about living forever. It's more about feeling good and raising healthy children. Most people are unaware of how nutritionally deficient Americans are. AND, no I won't trust you. I know too many people who are dying from preventable diseases so I'll stick with the knowledge I've obtained from reading books like Weston A. Price's Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. When your body starts to fail you do your own research and run from your doctor. :)

  • hi as well thanks for integral value of minerals as to adrenal notation and not notion which yet goes to thyroid and pituitary prongs too, utelizing them serves so much more. a soak can increase release, which you have from bulk blend put aside for scoops i suppose. & nutrition is important for life whether child or some avoiding shriveling up as inbetween to be in gestation hopes. which then should pass along no panic, nurse as babies until w/ solid enzymes gently o other ripens new snuggley

  • @bintasyllah because tap water is full of contaminants that I don't want. Yes, the ph is off in RO, but it doesn't have fluoride, metals, chlorine and pharmaceutical drugs in it. I'm currently using a Big Berkey water system.

  • @RawBabies why is it better than tap water. I saw a program on ph-correcting water methods and stated that tap water is better than what's 'sold' at stores. I know a RO tank in one's home isn't quite the same, but ...information would be helpful.

  • @RawBabies I came across this too ezinearticles.c o m /?Irish-Moss---Uses-and-Side-Effects&id=1034800 regarding dangers of irish moss especially with children

  • @gio144

Look a little further and you will find out Carageenan is heated and processed. Whenever you heat a substance you change its chemical composition therby ACTUALLY changing the initial product. Irish Moss is raw and i guess not-irradiated making it safe.

  • i found fresh Caribbean sea moss, or Irish Moss, at Betafe Sea Moss from St Lucia.
