Green Guide:
10. Tesla Roadster and Model S: The Tesla Roadster is just a fantastic all electric car that's going far and fast! Not only it goes from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds it's also a very, very hot sports car. I really fell in love with it as soon as I saw a picture of it. And then I was able to test drive the Tesla Roadster which made me fall in love even more with the car. Here's our test drive and interview at their showroom in Menlo Park: http://www.ecobold.com/tesla-roadster-test-drive-2/ They're also coming up with the four door Sedan, the Model S and it's extremely beautiful! A little history about Tesla, from their website:

9. Recycled calendar with soy based ink by Asgard Press: this recycled calendar (made out of recycled paper) and printed on soy based ink also serves another purpose: it's a vintage football calendar that you can keep and collect over the years. Every year they have new pictures of classic college football leatherheads.

8. Recycled candy wrap purse and clutch by Eco Fashions: these recycled material purses are so cool and will definitely catch people's attention.

7. Local wine: drinking local wine is green, and who would have thought about it? By drinking local wine you're not only helping our environment because your wine has traveled a few miles to get to you (rather than thousands) but you're also helping your local economy! What a great way to help two great causes at the same time. And if you can, drink local organic wine, which also is not only much healthier for you, it's also healthier for our planet and our soil. There are several organic wines popping up left and right and you shouldn't have a problem finding them. The other day I even went to an organic wine tasting in San Francisco! My favorite place to find wines is our from our loved Gary Vaynerchuk from Wine Library.

6. Organic foot lotion by Gilden Tree: our green and eco-friendly guide couldn't be out without something to pamper yourself such as this organic foot lotion by Gilden Tree. They have a whole line of organic footcare for dry skin and cracked heels. Also check out the Gilden Tree robe made out of 100% natural cotton and other Gilden Tree products at their website.

5. Eco-friendly golf balls by Dixon Golf: this is a high performance green golf ball that will keep your performance and playability up to par, especially when compared to non-performing and non-green golf balls.
According to their website, they do not use harsh heavy-metal pollutants like tungsten, cobalt, lead or contain non-renewable synthetic materials and compounds; all balls manufactured by Dixon Golf are "green" to the core. They are 100% recyclable and made from reprocessable materials. Even the packaging is made from 100% recycled material.

4. Organic chocolate by Theo Chocolate: you can never go wrong with organic chocolate. Theo Chocolate is an organic chocolate company that has been growing a lot in the past few months. They make delicious organic chocolate bars and they have all kinds of flavors using organic cacao, and this is on top of the basic organic milk chocolate and organic dark chocolate.

3. The Food Revolution by John Robbins -- How Your Diet Can Help Save Your Life and the World. This best seller book changed my life, it talks about how meat and livestock is "produced" here in the United States, the benefits of veganism, becoming vegan, why vegetarian is a healthy way of life, in between other things related to our health and being or becoming vegetarian or vegan. I guarantee you it's a page turner and you'll LOVE it!

2. Reusable glass bottle by Love Bottle: Love Bottle makes really neat reusable glass bottles with adorable designs. You can also customize a bottle by drawing on it, putting stickers on it, or placing wrist bands around it to help on the grip. Love Bottle is made partially with recycled glass and saves you money and saves our environment from nasty plastic bottles.

1. Recycled bike chain bowl by Resource Revival: this is one of the first green products I fell in love with, Resource Revival makes very cool bike chain bowl that makes an unusual gift idea.

  • Hmmm. I cant help to think about how they get the bikechains so clean. Its not wrong to recycle metal by remelting it. The chemicals used when mining metals does more harm. I would recomend buying a lighter bowl or one out of wood in a second hand store instead. Sorry Steffany :)

  • Well yes second hand is the best, always! Recycled is the second best ;)
