This is one of our Private Fishing Reefs located south of Gulf Shores, Alabama and can easily be reached and fished on a 6 hour fishing charter. This demonstrates how we fish high in the water column in an effort to reduce fish barotrauma (fish bloating) that is associated with fish floating after caught. When we use this conservation method to catch Red Snapper in Alabama, our fish survive when released because they are caught in 1 ATM or less than 33 ' deep. This is a perfect example of the proper way to catch and release Red Snapper in the Gulf of Mexico. The two main environmental groups that we work with are impressed at how we are gentle with these fish and try to reduce stress.
