Well, Russian alphabet is Cyryllic.
When they issue what they call "foreign passport" it depends how they spell it there in Latin Alphabet.
It can be both Alexey or Alexei - depending on how a persion issuing the passport spells it.

Well, I know how to pronounce his name:
a-lek-sEy the stress is on last Ey(or Ei if you like).
I am Russian as he was.

I am Alexey myself, in all documents (I am Russian and live in America) it is spelled like this. So, this is correct spelling.

holy #$%! I still cant believe what happend. It's sad to see such a talent go at such a young age, this should never had happend. This kid was going to make a big name for himself in the nhl and north america. Just so sad to see things go this way, He was 19!....
Still nice to see the many people paying tribute to him back in Russia and here. He deserved way better than this!
