  • This is good advice. I always ask first and would never force my assistance on someone. To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen anyone force their help on anyone. Perhaps it happens more in the states, where I'm sure the people mean well. Over here in the UK, we're a little more reserved anyway which is why we probably hold back a bit until it becomes apparent that someone may need help. But you should still ask first.
